Terms of service.

Last updated: July 7th 2026

Pine and Kiln Pottery is a trade name of BanzAI Seattle LLC ("Pine and Kiln Pottery," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of pineandkilnpottery.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make through it. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Pine and Kiln Pottery is a handmade pottery business operated by BanzAI Seattle LLC, based in Sequim, Washington. Every piece sold through the Site is handmade, and most are one of a kind.

2. Products and Availability

  • Because each piece is handmade and often one of a kind, inventory is limited and pieces may sell out at any time — including between when you add an item to your cart and when you complete checkout.

  • Photos are taken to represent each piece as accurately as possible, but handmade pottery has natural variation in glaze, color, shape, and texture. Small variations are normal and are not defects.

  • We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse or cancel an order (for example, in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or a piece being unavailable), and to correct pricing or listing errors even after an order is placed. If we cancel your order, you'll be refunded in full.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and do not include shipping or applicable sales tax, which are calculated at checkout.

  • Payment is processed securely through Squarespace Payments / our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.

  • You confirm that any payment information you provide is accurate and that you're authorized to use the payment method.

4. Shipping

  • We currently ship to United States only.

  • Orders are shipped within 3 business days of purchase using Pirate Ship / our carrier of choice.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on a flat rate.

  • Handmade pottery is fragile. We pack every order carefully, but we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier. See our Shipping & Returns page for what to do if your order arrives damaged.

5. Returns, Refunds, and Damage

  • Because each piece is handmade and one of a kind, all sales are final except in the case of damage during shipping.

  • If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@pineandkilnpottery.com with a photo of the damage and the packaging. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.

6. Product Use and Care

  • Food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and hand-wash-only status varies by piece and glaze and is noted in each individual product description. If a listing doesn't specify, please contact us before using a piece with food or in a dishwasher/microwave.

  • Decorative pieces (for example, raku-fired work) are not food-safe and should not be used to serve or store food or drink.

  • Pottery is breakable. Use and handle all pieces with reasonable care.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Site — including photos, product descriptions, logos, and the Pine and Kiln Pottery name and branding — belongs to BanzAI Seattle LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our written permission.

8. Account and Conduct

  • If the Site allows account creation, you're responsible for keeping your login information secure and for all activity under your account.

  • You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with the Site's operation, or to attempt to access data not intended for you.

9. Third-Party Services

The Site uses third-party services to operate, including Squarespace (hosting/e-commerce), Squarespace Payments, Pirate Ship (shipping), and email/newsletter tools. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for the practices of third-party services outside our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pine and Kiln Pottery and BanzAI Seattle LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or purchase of our products, beyond the amount you paid for the applicable order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Washington or federal law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
